How often do you do work with a business that has been serving its customers for over 81 years? On top of that, how often is the family that started that business 81 years ago still running it? Welcome to Wheels in Motion, on Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor. DeWight Plotner was born into the business, as was his son Travis.  Last year Wheels in Motion moved next door, doubled their space and completed a build out of  a beautiful expanded shop filled with all of the cycling dream machines that you could imagine

The shop features top cycling brands from Trek, Kona, and Look along with top accessories from Bontrager, Sidi, Shimano and Park Tools.  With 81 years in Ann Arbor the number of cyclist that this family has assisted is truly countless.

Wheels in Motions supports multiple racing teams and that number is growing all of the time. You will see their jersey at most of the local and some of the national series events. Their athletes compete in road, mountain bike, cyclocross and triathlon.

Being part of the community has been a core belief for the shop. They are committed to promoting cycling and awareness all around Ann Arbor. They work with tour de Kids, Bike Fest, the Ecology Center EcoRide, the American Red Cross.

Not only do the Plotner men continue the 81 years of the family business, DeWight’s wife Vickie, is there to fit you in the newest accessories making it a true family affair.
