Mt. Brighton
Under the new ownership of Vail Resorts, Mt. Brighton has seen a face lift that has impacted all aspects of the facility. Vail Resorts spent over $10 million in renovations over the summer that has transformed the resort. The Genoa Township ski area opened in 1960 and has serviced S.E. Michigan skiers for the past 53 years.
The Capital investment project was focused on two major areas; the on hill improvements and the base lodge facility.
Two new quad lifts were installed that will increase the uphill capacity. A complete overhaul of the snowmaking system which will increase the coverage and will nearly triple the capacity. Snow Park Technologies, the builder and designer of the Winter X-Games, worked with Mt. Brighton on their terrain park.
The Lodge facility saw a total facelift. The new Ski Hill Grill has quick-service style food presentation, and includes a new bar.
The restaurant has been remodeled and the new Ore Creek Mountain Grill features a presentation grill with an urban architectural design.
The Children’s Ski & Ride School Center has seen a new design to make the younger skiers feel comfortable as they learn and become the next generation of skiers and riders.
Mt. Brighton has installed their Vail Resorts EpicMix technology which allows skiers and snowboards to download the EpicMix app on their mobile phones and track their ski days online. They can share stats and information about their day on the slopes via Twitter and Facebook. This social application lets skiers and riders of all abilities track their vertical feet, and earn digital pins for their on hill accomplishments. This is also a great tool to see where your children are on the hill in real time.
Allstar Alarm is pleased to continue to provide security to Mt. Brighton and welcomes the new ownership from Vail Resorts. Come out and see the improvements. These changes are sure to make an impact on the ski area which has served this community for over fifty years.
