The 2/42 Community Church of Brighton has opened their doors to their very innovative Community Center. Pastor Bob Smith gave us a tour of their center which sits on Grand River Avenue in Brighton.
Their vision was to build a facility that was used and busy daily with activities for the entire family. Their day starts with a 6:00 am cross-fit type training session and that is just the beginning.
As you enter their facility you may be treated to enter their full service Cafe that is open to the public, or you may enter into their indoor athletic turf field that is used by the congregation as well as many community clubs, teams and groups. The “Field” also features a large screen with a LED projector for movie night.
Every square foot of the Community Center’s 82,000 square foot building is utilized to its fullest. Many rooms in the Center have multiple uses and have been designed to maximize the use throughout the day. One feature that is very innovative is their three floor play scape that incorporates C-Containers that include windows to allow the children to view outside.
From day one of the doors opening on this facility the growth of the church membership was explosive. Pastor Bob Smith commented that their 18 month goal for growh was met in 18 days with a 140% increase. A second level of seating was designed and built just months later to accommodate the growth.
Allstar Alarm was pleased to assist in the design of many of the security features of this busy Community Center. Our systems included a full fire detection and alarm, CCTV camera system that focused on the safety and security of the many children areas. An access control system is in place to keep the Center secure.
Allstar has numerous members of the Church on staff and it truly has become a valuable and important relationship.
As the Community Center continues to grow and prosper Allstar Alarm will be working with their entire staff to make sure that the property is safe and all that use this facility are protected.
